A parallel equation (when graphed) will have the same slope, but a different y-intercept.

As long as you keep y = -
(5)/(2)x + b, you can input anything for b to solve this question.

Given:

y = -
(5)/(2)x - 5

Equation of a parallel line:

y = -
(5)/(2)x + 6, y = -
(5)/(2)x + 1,356, y = -
(5)/(2)x - 8, etc

Example answer you can use:

y = -
(5)/(2)x - 8
