4x-1/12=11/12
+1/12. +1/12
4x=12/12
4x=1
4x/4= 1/4
X= 1/4 or .25

The answer is x=3. When you multiply 4 and 3 you get 12 then you subtract 1 and get 11/12. Hope this helped!
