Zheng He was Chinese fleet admiral and diplomat. He was born in a Muslim family and emperor yongle gave him the surname Zheng. He led several treasure voyages to South, southeast, Western Asia and East Africa from 1405 to 1433. Legends state that the his ships carried hundreds of sailors and had four decks, they were one of the biggest ships ever recorded in history. He was favourite of Yongle Emperor and helped him in overthrowing Jianwen Emperor.
