Answer:

The result of subtracting the equation is 12 y + 7 = 0

Explanation:

Given equation as :

2 x - 5 y + 1 = 0 and

2 x + 7 y + 8 = 0

Now Subtract the given equation

( 2 x - 5 y + 1 ) - ( 2 x + 7 y + 8 ) = 0

Or, ( 2 x - 2 x ) - ( 5 y + 7 y ) + ( 1 - 8 ) = 0

Or, ( 0 ) - ( 12 y ) + ( - 7 ) = 0

Or, 12 y = - 7

∴ y = -
(7)/(12)

Hence The result of subtracting the equation is 12 y + 7 = 0 Answer
