Given that:

y=7x- 12 -------- eq1

-3x+4y=2​ ------ eq2

eq1 can be written as:

7x - y = 12

Multiplying this equation by 4 we get:

28x - 4y = 48 --------- eq3

Adding eq2 and eq3 we get:

28x - 3x = 48+ 2

25x = 50

x = 2

Now put this equation in eq1

y = 7(2) - 12

y = 14 - 12

y = 2
