Answer / Explanation :

Feudalism had a profound influence in all aspects of human lives during its own existence. As every political and social system, it was particularly used for abusing power. The effects of feudalism can be put in different order:

POLITICAL:

On the top of this system were kings who was acting as a head of state. They had all power in one country and the system was operating in they favor.

System was organized good in the sense that everybody know its own place. One country, beside king, had a different social class of people who varied from soldiers to workers. You can call it a self - sufficient system of governing. Because of the nature of this system, every region was able to sustain itself locally and land management was maximized.

Now, since you had a very centralized government and the chain of command was starting from the very top, the ruler had an absolute control under his or her region. They often used this power to abuse others.

Because the kings were afraid of losing the support they would often grant land or lands to their knights. Knights was the most powerful and privileged class of the society during that time. They would collects own taxes from the lower classes. Later, the king would became more titular head of state who had to share some aspects of his power to other nobles.

2. ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL:

In the economic view, feudalism often “worked” on relation between the lords and the vassals. The main working force was serfs. They worked in the manor or near manor and they had few privileges. As a way “to thank for they services”, the lord would offer them a chance to have there own lives but at his mercy. They would meant that they had the right to earn their livelihood and he would in return provide his protection against others. Also, the surfs were obliged to make a pledge to his or her lord and they had to support them on they requests for troops, they had to provide a certain amount of food, tax and so on. If they didn’t have money or they didn’t have certain amount, they could lost its own land, be thrown into prison or executed.

For ordinary worker it was very had system because they depended heavily on current weather. If one season was bad, they could lost everything they had worked for years.
