Answer:

The number of adults in the group were 3

Explanation:

Given as :

The cost for adult ticket in park = At = $ 24.95

The cost for child's ticket in park = Ct = $ 15.95

The number of people in group = 10

The Total amount paid as tickets = $ 186.50

Let the number of adults = A

The number of child = C

So, According to question

A + C = 10

And A + C = 10

Or, 24.95 A + 24.95 C = 249.5 .......1

Or, 24.95 A + 15.95 C = 186.50 ......2

Solve the above equation 1 and 2

Or , ( 24.95 A + 24.95 C ) - ( 24.95 A + 15.95 C ) = 249.5 - 186.50

Or, 9 C = 63

∴ C =
(63)/(9) = 7

I,e Number of child's in group = 7

So Number of Adults in group = 10 - 7 = 3

Hence The number of adults in the group were 3 Answer
