Answer: There is a common belief that giving is better than receiving. This has some reasons. Giving makes us happy. Many studies point to the happiness level of people who donate money to charities. Also, giving makes God happy; it is a religious belief that when we give joyfully, we make our Maker happy. Moreover, giving increases our social belonging and connectedness. When we give to others, we feel closer to them and they feel closer to us too. Additionally, giving makes us likable. When we give something to others, people feel we are kind and trustworthy. Because of these reasons, giving is better than receiving.
