To Find:

Equation for the roots -4 and -4.

Solution:

The Given roots are the repeated roots of a quadratic equation

X= -4, x =-4

So, as we know that the formula to find out the the quadratic equation which has roots as


x^2-\text{{sum of roots(x)}}+ \text{{product of roots}}=0....................(1)

Now, according to question we have

Sum of roots = -4-4= -8 ...................(2)

Product of roots = -4×-4 = 16 ................(3)

Substituting (2) and (3) in (1)


x^2+8x+16=0
