Find the equation of the vertical passing through the point (3,7), (30,-11), and (0, -1)

y = 7.

y = -11.

Explanation:

All the verticals on the coordinate plane are either y-axis or parallel to the y-axis.

And the equations of all the vertical straight lines on the coordinate plane is given by y = c ........... (1), where c is any real constant.

Now, putting c = 0 we will get the equation of y-axis i.e. y = 0.

Therefore, y = 7 is the equation of a vertical passing through (3,7) points.

The equation of the vertical passing through (30,-11) is y = -11.

And the equation of the vertical passing through (0,-1) is y = -1. (Answer)
