Answer:

3x + 4y = 8

Explanation:

When the slope of the line and a point passing through a point is given we can use slope & one point form to arrive at the equation.

Slope and on - point form:
(y - y_1) = m(x - x_1)

where
m is the slope of the line and

(x_1, y_1) is the point on the line.

Here,
$ m = (-3)/(4) $ and
$ (x_1, y_1) = (4, -1) $.

Therefore:
$ y + 1 = (-3)/(4) (x - 4) $

$ \implies 4y + 4 = -3x + 12 $

i.e., 3x + 4y = 8
