The illustration an example of a. oceanic-oceanic convergence boundary
What is an oceanic-oceanic convergent boundary?
Ocean-ocean convergence is the meeting point of two oceanic plates. The denser plate subducts into the asthenosphere beneath the convergence zone, forming a surface trench.
The region below the convergence zone is known as the subduction zone.A collision between two plates that are made of oceanic lithosphere is referred to as an oceanic-oceanic convergent boundary. One of the plates will continue to subduct beneath the other despite the fact that this boundary involves the same kind of lithosphere.
