There is more than one answer to this problem.

A.) 2.01 x 10 to the power of 7 and 4.25 x 10 to the power of 6

B.) 5.97 x 10 to the power of 4 and 3.12 x 10 to the power of 3

C.) 4.91 x 10 to the power of 6 and 5.09 x 10 to the power of 3

D.) 8.21 x 10 to the power of -3 and 4.13 x 10 to the power of -4

E.) 2.94 x 10 to the power of -8 and 6.22 x 10 to the power of -7

Answer:

Option C, D, E

Explanation:

To find : Which pairs of numbers in scientific notation shows one number that is about 20 times as great as the other number?

Solution :

We divide large number by smaller number to get the required answer,

A)
(2.01* 10^7)/(4.25* 10^6)=4.7294\approx 4

B)
(5.97* 10^4)/(3.12* 10^3)=19.1346153846\approx 19

C)
(4.91* 10^6)/(5.09* 10^3)=9365.4033\approx 9365

D)
(8.21* 10^(-3))/(4.13* 10^(-4))=19.8789\approx 20

E)
(6.22 * 10^(-7))/(2.94* 10^(-8))=21.156462585\approx 21

Option C, D and E pairs of numbers in scientific notation shows one number that is about 20 times as great as the other number.
