Answer:

The cost of each movie is $ 5

Explanation:

The value of movie pass = $ 40

The number of movies seen by Brie = 5

The number of movie seen by her friend = 3

Let the cost of movie = c

So , According to question :

The amount left on pass = amount spend by friend on 3 movies

I.e $ 40 - 5 c = 3 c

Or 5 c + 3 c = $ 40

Or, 8 c = $ 40

So , c =
(40)/(8) = 5

Hence The cost of each movie is $ 5 Answer
