3:4:5 can be 3+4+5 = 12 parts

36 divided by 12 part

1 part is 36/12=3

∴ Three sides are : 3X3=9

3X4=12

3X5=15

You can put ratios into forms of x so we can say that one side is 3x another side is 4x and the final side is 5x. Because of this we can say that 3x + 4x + 5x = 36. We know this because the perimeter is the sum of all the sides. next we can combine the like terms to get 12x = 36. Then we can divide by 12 to get that x = 3. Once we know this we can multiply each side by 3. 3(3) = 9. 3(4) = 12 and 3(5) = 15.
