Hey there!

The Distributive Property states that

a(b+c)=ab+ac

where

a, b, and c can be either constants or variables

now, let's simplify

3(x+2)

3x+6

Hope everything is clear.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Answer:

The answer is 3x+6

Explanation:

You multiply what's on the outside of the parenthesis by everything on the inside, so you would do 3 times x and 3 times 2. They don't combine because they are like terms.
