It would be 7 1/2. Here's a picture of how I did it

Explanation:

I used a method called keep change flip to divide the 3 3/4 and 1/2. I got 30/4, then divided the improper fraction, and got 7 2/4. Then reduced it by 2 and got 7 1/2.
