Why were synagogues
important?

Synagogues are consecrated spaces used for the purpose of prayer, Tanakh (the entire Hebrew Bible, including the Torah) reading, study and assembly; however, a synagogue is not necessary for worship. Halakha holds that communal Jewish worship can be carried out wherever ten Jews (a minyan) assemble.

Hi!

A synagogue is a place dedicated/built for praying. They can also be used for reading, studying, and assembly. These are important to Judaism (Jewish) because they had their own space to pray, and any other important things they needed to do.

Hope this helps, make sure you reword this a bit and add a bit of your own detail, otherwise it may be considered plagiarism! Have a wonderful day/night! :)
