Answer:

16 °F = -8.89 °C

Explanation:

Given:

Temperature is Fahrenheit is,
F= 16° F

The formula that relates Fahrenheit and Celsius is:

F=1.8C+32

Express this in terms of Celsius
C. This gives,

C=(F-32)/(1.8)

Plug in 16 for
F and solve for
C. This gives,

C=(16-32)/(1.8)=(-16)/(1.8)=-8.89

Therefore, 16 °F is equal to -8.89 °C.
