Explanation:

|p-5|<3 is p < 8 and p > 2 because we know We know

p−5 < 3 and p−5 > −3

so we to add 5 to both sides p−5 +5 < 3+5 which makes 5 out on the left and make p <8

then go and do p-5>-3 and add 5 to both sides which so it is p-5+5 > -3+5 adn that gives us p>2

so the answer is p < 8 and p > 2
