There are 114 pencils in the art room

Solution:

Given, The constant proportionality between the number of markers and the number of pencils in our room is eight over three.

\text { number of markers }=(8)/(3) * \text { number of pencils }

There are 304 markers in the art room.

We have to find how many pencils are in the art room.

Now, from the above formula.

\begin{array}{l}{304 \text { markers }=(8)/(3) * \text { number of pencils in art room }} \\\\ {\text { Number of pencils in art room }=304 * (3)/(8)=38 * 3=114}\end{array}

Hence, there are 114 pencils in the art room
