Answer: 8 people = 24 minutes

Explanation:

This is for Two Point Applications

Find your
(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-y_1)

(1,10)(5,18)=(18-10)/(5-1) = (8)/(4) = 2 ->
y-8=2(x-4)

Then distribute the 2 into x and -4

Then add 8 to both sides of the equation

Then you get y=2x+8

Then use a graph using this slope intercept form to get (8 people,24 minutes)

Answer:

The number of minutes it take to serve 8 person in party is 24 min

Explanation:

Given as :

To serve 1 person at a local restaurant it take 10 minutes

To serve 5 person at a local restaurant it take 18 minutes

So, From given information . it is clear that ,

For ( 1 + n ) person to serve , the time required is ( 10 + 2 n) minutes

Take n = 1 , For ( 1 + 1 ) person to serve , the time required is ( 10 + 2×1) min

I.e for 2 person to serve , time required is 12 min

Take n = 2 , For ( 1 + 2 ) person to serve , the time required is ( 10 + 2×2)min

I.e for 2 person to serve , time required is 14 min

Similarly for n = 7

For ( 1 + 7 ) person to serve , the time required is ( 10 + 2×7) min

I.e For 8 person to serve , the time required is 24 min

Hence The number of minutes it take to serve 8 person in party is 24 min Answer
