2x2 =4, so now we have 4+x+2=0. then add 4 + 2, now we have 6+x=0. move the six over the other side of the x now we have the answer x = -6

2x^2 + x + 2 = 0

x = (1)/(8)(-1 \pm √(1- 4(2)(2)))= (-1 \pm √(-15))/(8)

x = (-1 \pm i√(15))/(8)

Two solutions, complex conjugates.
