Jada eats 2 scoops of ice cream in 5 minutes. Noah eats 3 scoops of ice cream in 5 minutes. How long does it take them to eat one scoop working together ( if they continue eating ice cream at the same rate they do individually)?

So,

1 scoop in 5/2 = 2.5 minutes

Noah

3 scoop in 5 minutes

So,

Jada = 1/2.5 = 0.4

Noah = 1/1.25 = 0.8

Working together, we add the rates and find the time:

(0.4+0.8)*t = 1
