Answer:

Hey! Im not 100% of what you are asking, but here you go :)

8(a+5) (this is your equation)

Multiply 8xa, which just is 8a

Next, multiply 8x5 which is 40

Because 8a and 40 are not like terms and they cannot be added together, your answer is just

8a+40.
