If there is 5/8 of a total fuel supply on board, the ship can make 6 round trips

Solution:

Let the number of the round trips the ships make be "n"

Now, according to question in one trip the ship consumes
(1)/(6) of its total fuel supply which is given to be
(5)/(8)

Fuel supply used in "1" trip =
(1)/(6) * (5)/(8)

Now fuel supply used for "n" trip is given as:

n * (1)/(6) * (5)/(8)=(5)/(8)

n = 6

Hence the ship can make 6 round trips
