The ratio of the diagonal to the side of the rectangle is 17 : 8

Solution:

Let a Rectangle ABCD with diagonal AC = 34 inches and the Side be BC = 16 inches and the Length of the Base be AB = 30 inches

We are required to find the ratio of the diagonal to the side of the rectangle i.e. Diagonal AC and Side BC

Now, Ratio = Length of Diagonal AC : Length of Side BC

Ratio = 34 inches : 16 inches

Ratio = 17: 8

So, the ratio of the diagonal to the side of the rectangle is 17 : 8
