Is the four part of the problem or is the problem number 4?
I will solve assuming 4 is not included because the parentheses are not complete but will redo if you tell me different
(-3)(k-8)-(k+5)=23
-3k+24-k-5=23
-4K+19=23
-4K=4
K=-1
