Given:

A line passes through (-1, 3) and (5,3).

To find:

The equation of the line.

Solution:

The line passes through (-1, 3) and (5,3). So, the equation of the line is

y-y_1=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)(x-x_1)

y-3=(3-3)/(5-(-1))(x-(-1))

y-3=(0)/(5+1)(x+1)

y-3=0

Adding 3 on both sides, we get

y-3+3=0+3

y=3

Therefore, the equation of the line is
y=3.
