If you know what happens in 2/3 of a minute, multiply that number by 3/2 to see what happens in a minute. This is true because you have the proportion

5(1)/(4)/ (2)/(3)=x/ 1

And solving for x you have

(2)/(3)x=5(1)/(4) \iff x=5(1)/(4)\cdot (3)/(2)

Getting rid of mixed fraction, we have 5 1/4=21/4, and thus the final answer is

(21)/(4)\cdot(3)/(2)=(63)/(8)
