Explanation:

First you have to know that one dozen is equal to 12. So two dozen croissants would be 24 croissants.

You want to figure out how much one croissant cost so you create a proportional equation.


(25.92)/(24 ) = (x)/(1)

You can cross multiply and divide (25.92*1=24x) or you can simply just divide 25.92 and 24.


(25.92)/(24) = 1.08

So one croissant is $1.08
