The slope of the line that passes through (5, 4) and (-4,3) is
(1)/(9)

Solution:

Given, two points are (5, 4) and (-4, 3)

We have to find the slope of a line that passes through the above given two points.

Slope of a line that pass through
\left(x_(1), y_(1)\right) \text { and }\left(x_(2), y_(2)\right) is given as:

m=(y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1))

\text { Here, in our problem, } x_(1)=-4, y_(1)=3 \text { and } x_(2)=5, y_(2)=4

\text { slope } m=(4-3)/(5-(-4))=(1)/(5+4)=(1)/(9)

Hence, the slope the line that passes through the given points is
(1)/(9)
