In general, there are three different parenting styles:

Authoritarian
Permissive
Authoritative

Create a survey consisting of five thoughtful questions designed to discover which type of parenting style was used (or is being used) in the life of someone you interview. Record the questions here in the Writer box.







Now that you have listed your five questions, write one sentence for each question that explains why you think this question will help you discover the parenting style with which someone was raised.

authoritarian is favoring or enforcing strict obedience to authority, especially that of the government, at the expense of personal freedom.

permissive is a parent that is more of a friend than a parental figure to there children.

authoritative is a parenting style characterized by high responsiveness and high demands. Authoritative parents are responsive to the child's emotional needs while having high standards. They set limits and are very consistent in enforcing boundaries
