Answer:

For 28 pieces of gum you have 70 pieces of candies.

Explanation:

5 piece of candy gives 2 pieces of gum

So, the Ratio of Candy : Gum = 5 : 2

Now, the number of gums received = 28

Let the number of candy received = m

5 : 2 = m : 28

By, the RATIO OF PROPORTIONALITY:

(5)/(2)   = (m)/(28)

or,
m= (28  * 5)/(2)  = (140)/(2)  = 70

m = 70

Hence, for 28 pieces of gum you have 70 pieces of candies.
