The value of n should be 25 to make the equation true.

Solution:

Given,

(-1)/(5)n+7=2

On grouping the terms and bringing the unknown value to the other side we get,

(-1)/(5)n=2-7

\Rightarrow (-1)/(5)n=-5

\Rightarrow {-1}n=-5*5

(-1* n = -n)

\Rightarrow -n=-25

On cancelling - on both the sides, we get n=25.

Hence, n=25
