Economic
- Fur traders wants profit. They want to work together with Native Americans so they can obtain fur from their animals with lower price and sell it for profit.
- Priests' economic goals are almost very limited. Probably just wanted enough resources to help their missionaries
Politics
- Fur traders couldn't care less about their politics. They are entrepreneurs. All of their interactions with the native Americans are driven by monetary factors.
- Priests would most likely tried to influenced the natives to supports laws that are promoted by the church (at that time the church and the government haven't been fully separated
Social
- Fur traders want to treated the natives like colleague. As long as they did their part of the contract, they would not make additional attempt to be part of the community.
- The priests wanted to be part of the community. They wanted to gain their trusts so they can spread their religion and replace their past religion.
