Why does the legislative branch have more power than the executive and judicial branches in Israel?

Parliament is usually the most representative branch of power in democratic systems. So, in many constitutions, it has more power than other parts of government. Israel is a parliamentarian democracy, its members are elected under a system of proportional representation. After each legislative election, the leader of the winning party, faction or coalition is asked by the president to form a new cabinet. The leader of the majority becomes the prime minister. He chooses his cabinet members and the Knesset must give a vote of confidence to the cabinet; otherwise, the prime minister can´t rule.
