Given that,

The area of the rectangle,
A=x^2-114

Length of the rectangle,
l=x+12\ m

To find,

The width of the rectangle.

Solution,

The formula for the area of a rectangle is given by :

A = lb

b is width of the rectangle

b=(A)/(l)\\\\b=(x^2-114)/(x+12)\\\\b=(x^2-12^2)/(x+12)\\\\b=((x-12)(x+12))/((x+12))\\\\=(x-12)\ m

So, the width of the rectangle is (x-12) m.
