Eric is hanging a rectangle mirror that has a diagonal of 50 inches with an angle depression of 60 degrees. How many square inches is the mirror. (Round to the nearest degree)

Answer:

For a triangle the area is height x width but since we are given the diagonal and the angles we use the following formula:

47sin60° * 47cos60°

Area = 956.5 in2
