Two ways to use properties of exponents are explained

Solution:

Two important properties also known as law of exponents are as follows

1) Property of Multiplication

2) Property of Division

Property of Multiplication:

For any real number a,

\mathrm{a}^{\mathrm{n}} *\mathrm{a}^{\mathrm{m}}=\mathrm{a}^{\mathrm{n}+\mathrm{m}}

Example:

2^(2) * 2^(3)=2^(2+3)=2^(5)

Property of Division:

For any real number a,

(a^(n))/(a^(m))=a^(n-m)

Example:

(2^(3))/(2^(2))=2^(3-2)=2^(1)
