The solution for h in V = lwh for a rectangular solid is 3 cm

Solution:

Given, V = lwh , we have to solve for h.

And, a rectangular solid has a base that is 6cm long and a width of 4cm

The volume of the solid is 72 cm squared

We have to find the height of the solid .

Now, let us use the given formula, V =lwh

Here in our case, V = 72, l = 6 cm, w = 4 cm

Now, substitute these values in V = lwh

\rightarrow 72=6 * 4 * h \rightarrow 24 * h=72 \rightarrow h=3

Hence, the height of the rectangular solid is 3 cm
