Answer:

100 checks

Explanation:

Let for x checks the charges in both accounts are same,

Given,

For checking account a,

Monthly service fee = $ 2,

Fees per check = $ 0.30

So, the total fees for x checks = Monthly service fee + fees per x checks

= 2 + 0.30x

For checking account b,

Monthly service fee = $ 3,

Fees per check = $ 0.20

So, the total fees for x checks = 3 + 0.20x

Thus, we can write,

2 + 0.30x = 3 + 0.20x

2 + 0.30x - 0.20x = 3

0.10x = 1

x = 100

Hence, for 100 checks the charges in both accounts are same.
