To the nearest centimeter, the radius of glass is 3 cm

Solution:

Given that, A cylindrical glass of 6 cm height holds 130 cubic centimeter of water.

We have to find what's the radius of the glass

The volume of cylinder is given as:

\text { volume of a cylinder }=\pi r^(2) h

Where, r is radius and h is height of the cylinder

By substituting the given values, h = 6 cm and v = 130 cubic centimeter we get,

\begin{array}{l}{\rightarrow 130=\pi r^(2) * 6} \\\\ {\rightarrow \pi r^(2)=(130)/(6)} \\\\ {\rightarrow \pi r^(2)=(21.667)/(\pi)} \\\\ {\rightarrow r^(2)=(21.667)/(\pi)=6.8967} \\\\ {\rightarrow r=√(6.8967)} \\\\ {\rightarrow r=2.6261}\end{array}

After rounding to the nearest centimeter r = 3 cm

Hence, the radius of the glass is 3 cm.
