Please help! 100 points! please help!

So far in this class, you have learned about many different biological processes and concepts. Write a paragraph about how three of the concepts below are reflected in your own life. How do they affect you? Give examples.

Concepts:

life cycles

changes in matter

chemical bonds

pH (acids & bases)

carbohydrates

lipids

proteins

nucleic acids

homeostasis

cellular respiration

photosynthesis

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Life cycle describes the cycle of life. Life goes through different stages over time. It starts with birth and ends with death. But the cycle re-starts and the end becomes the beginning.

Changes in matter describes matter in different states. An example is water - when you are hot, you want ice to chill down. Ice is water in solid form. When you are thirsty, you want to drink liquid water. When it is cold outside, the warm steam from a hot bowl of soup feels so good. Steam is water in gas form.

pH (acids & bases) is a measure of acidity. Orange juice you drink is very acidic and has a low pH. Even though soda does not taste like acid, it is mildly acidic and has a pH under 7. Soap you use to wash hand is a base and have a high pH above 7.

Answer:

The kidneys help maintain the acid–base balance by excreting hydrogen ions into the urine and reabsorbing bicarbonate from the urine. The buffer systems functioning in blood plasma include plasma proteins, phosphate, and bicarbonate and carbonic acid buffers. The kidneys help control acid-base balance by excreting hydrogen ions and generating bicarbonate that helps maintain blood plasma pH within a normal range. There are several buffer systems in the body. The most important include: (1) bicarbonate buffer (HCO3–/CO2), (2) haemoglobin buffer (in erythrocytes), (3) phosphate buffer, (4) proteins, and (5) ammonium buffer.pH is a measure of the hydorgen ion concentration of a solution. Solutions with a high concentration of hydrogen ions have a low pH and solutions with a low concentrations of H+ ions have a high pH. This may seem like a confusion way to express these reationships, and it is, until you understand what pH stands for.Whereas the buffers in your body and your lungs are involved in the rapid adjustment of your blood's pH, the kidneys adjust the pH more slowly. Under normal conditions, the kidney's main role in acid-base balance is through the excretion of acid in the form of hydrogen (H+) ions.Your blood needs the right balance of acidic and basic (alkaline) compounds to function properly. This is called the acid-base balance. Your kidneys and lungs work to maintain the acid-base balance. Even slight variations from the normal range can have significant effects on your vital organs.Perfectly competitive markets represent the most extreme form of capitalism, where the firms are totally subject to the market forces. ... A price-taker has no choice but to operate with the price set by the interaction of the market demand and supply curves.
