Alexander The Great was one of the greatest conquerers of all time. He spread the Greek culture to Asia Minor, Egypt, Mesopotamia, and India.
Alexander assumed the throne when his father was assassinated. Soon after he started the conquest of the Persian Empire. He crossed to Asia Minor, defeated the King Darius of Persia and conquered Aleppo. After, he conquered Syria and Egypt in 331 BCE. There he founded the city of Alexandria. Soon after, he conquered Phoenicia.
Later when he married a Bactrian noblewoman called Roxana and secured the Persian Empire under his control, he marched to India.
