what is the slope of the line represented by the equation below? y=1/2x +3
A. 1/3 B. 1/2 C. 2 D. 3

Slope-intercept form for a line with slope m and y intercept (0,b) is simply

y = mx + b

In our case we have

y = 1/2 x + 3

so, by matching against the form, a slope m=1/2 and a y intercept b=3

Answer: B. 1/2
