Standing with legs astride (feet far

apart) move your right leg medially so that both legs are close together. What movement
occurred at the hip?

Answer:

This is called medial or internal rotation. This is every rotation that moves towards the center of the body. In this case, we are rotating the hip internally so that when we sit this would pull our leg towards the other leg. And if we were to rotate it externally or in other words laterally then it would move away from the other leg.
