Explanation: The way that cell communication helps the immune system maintain homeostasis is by, the immune system sending out a signal to tell the cells to do something specific. A good example of this is when somebody gets scratched. The body uses cell communication to tell the body to send more blood up into that area in order to scab it up quickly. It helps is slight pressure is applied to the wound. Another example would be fighting off a sickness. When somebody gets sick, the body uses cell communication to fight that bacteria and return the organism back to homeostasis.
