Answer:

x=-6, y=2. (-6, 2).

Explanation:

4x+7y=-10

4x+4y=-16

----------------

-(4x+7y)=-(-10)

4x+4y=-16

------------------------

-4x-7y=10

4x+4y=-16

---------------

-3y=-6

3y=6

y=6/3

y=2

4x+7(2)=-10

4x+14=-10

4x=-10-14

4x=-24

x=-24/4

x=-6

Answer:

y=2 x=-6

Explanation:

the first equation subtract the second one ,we can get 4x+7y-(4x+4y)=-10-(-16)

4x+7y-4x-4y=6 3y=6 y=2

and then give the y value to any one of the equation 4x+4*2=-16

4x+8=-16 4x=-24 x=-6
