A . 5 + x² = 2 x² +13

5 + x² - 2 x² - 13 = 0

- x² -8 = 0

- x² = 8

x² = -8

x = - √8

x = - 2√2

B . 5 + x³ = 2 x³ + 13

5 + x³- 2 x³ - 13 = 0

- x³ -8 = 0

-x³ = 8

x³ = -8

x = - ∛8

x = -2
